Love the LT1 in my '94 -- no issues whatsoever.......I understand that the opti is a problem at times but so far no issues for me.
The LT1 is a gem.

Having owned a bundle of C4 cars, three of which were the ZR-1, the LT5 is my favorite engine.  Probably cost-prohibitive to Corvette to continue, but I can attest what a truly powerful and bullet-proof engine it was. The engineers at Chevrolet working with those at the Lotus division really created something very special with that one.
