can anyone tell me if I can swap my coil in cap HEI dist in my 88 vette to an external coil small dist is there a wiring adaptor available

never personally heard of anyone doing that. is there any particular reason for it?

IMO they are really not that bad as they are. the only thing you need is an extension on the socket to unscrew the cap. if you want to see a really hard one to work on look at 95 jimmy/blazer with a 4.3 6cyl motor...you cant even see what you are working on. the one on our years even sound a lot easier to work on than the optispark.

the swap is done thanx to the guys at tpis I now have the little dist with divorced coil makes it so much easier to work on
