Vette(s): 1984 base coupe 17,000 miles all original. very low production number.red on red 3853. pro num.
my shocks on my 84 are black in color. i know the bilstines are yellow. i was woundering who the manufacter is, that made the black shocks on a 84. my dealer can't tell me. they can only give me the replacements for it, ac delco.

I think the "standard" suspensions used Delco shocks, but I can't say for sure...I'd have to look it up....

The shocks on my 85 were plain black that I replaced recently and thet were AC delco had been painted black at factory or just to match frame. at the bottom of the shock housing should be numbers and date code and mine even said AC delco on them. but I couldnt see them until I had removed them. hope this helps?
