LT-1's are adjusted a turn beyond zero lash. LT-4's are to 18 ft/#, so right to the bottom. But when you put the rockers on LT-1 heads, the rockers bottom on the bolt head of the rocker stud before the lifters bottom.

When I bumped the motor to do the second side, I snapped 4 Comp Cams High Tech pushrods! Sounded like springs breaking and wasn't initially obvious because the rockers hid the pushrods. Took the intake off, picked up the pieces and cleaned everything. Don't think I hurt the cam or lifters but I wasn't happy. You'd think GM would cut them the same.

Have some headless studs on order which will stay put with stud girdles and get all of the "hot cam" that went in. Also investigated the interference of a double roller timing chain (which is a third the price of GM single roller once you put on the electric water pump) but I'll post later with pics.
