Where to purchase weatherstriping

All of my 96 coupe weather-strip needs to be replaced.  Looking at web sites and not much data is given about the weather-strip composition, wear ability, and etc.  Ratings are few and far between.  Does anyone have a good source for weather-stripping ?  

All the major suppliers catalogs have them listed. Imported, least expensive, EPDM, same as OEM, but different material, and OEM silicone best and most expensive. Depends on your desire as to what degree you want in the representation of the car.

Thanks for the info - No problem finding items for sale... looking for a recommendation from someone who has purchased weather-stripping.  Or a "don't buy" this and why.

I replaced all my weatherstriping by a professional shop recommended to me by another C4 owner. I purchased all the items new through Corvette Central. In just two short months the A-pillar began to break down and best way to describe is that it just crumbled. I was so disappointed because I should have at least complained to Corvette Central. I believe replacing the A pillar is the most difficult and time consuming of all the C4 weatherstriping.  I just spoke with a restorer last night who is willing to replace the A pillar with a new one. We haven't discussed the price. Please just be careful with the quality you buy. I will most likely have it replaced again, but not sure where to buy. I am the second owner of this 1993 Coupe and have owned it for 21 years. I take great care of it and it is garaged. Cant explain why the weatherstripiing replacement disintegrated so quickly. Thanks. Sir, Just because you only had it for a short time does not mean it hasn't sat on a shelf for a VERY long time. IMHO, the EPDM compound does not last very long at all. Most of it is formed in a area that cannot understand or speak English. The latex compound is OEM quality, so it's a better product.

Thank you for responding and I appreciate your comments. I just want to be certain that this time I am purchasing the best quality available which I thought I was buying, because it's the labor that is so expensive, although I have considered doing it myself. Still have all the receipts, but that doesn't help me now. Anyway my car is not perfect, but it is the front windshield and side windows that is ugly and a distraction. If anyone can recommend someone in Las Vegas to do the replacement, please let me know. I really want to get this fixed. Thanks Felipe  

I purchased a full kit of replacement weather stripping from Metro Molded Parts. It was well produced, easy to work with and has held up very well. It was a bit more expensive than some of the other sources but worth it.

I ordered latex weatherstripping for the A-Pillar and targa sides through another vendor. Research convinces me that latex is the best option.  Expected to arrive next week and I have an appointment to install here locally. I hope to provide and update concerning the quality. I just want to do this one time right.  The best video I have found for the A-Pillar installation is through www.prp.com telephone number 800-367-8241. I spoke with them yesterday and although they make it look easy, removing the old adhesive is apparently the hardest part. Thanks!
