Does anyone have any experience with the "simulated leather" seat covers? I just can't see myself buying the real leather because my cushions should probably be replaced too. I'm afraid if I do spring for the real leather, they would wear prematurely due to the condition of the cushions. Some dude on Flea-bay sells the simulated cover with the matching shift boot. Anyone have any experience with them? I need someone to tell me what to do LOL

My experience was fair. I didn't care for the way they moved sliding my fat butt in and out. That caused a fair about of wear. I put covers made of wetsuit matieral on mine manufactured by Wet Okle and installed by them here in So. Cal. they look and fit like factory seats. They are pricey thou.

I bought the Iggees seat covers, they fit really well, got free seat belt pads with them, and I ordered 2 tone, charcoal gray and black.
A lot of people that have seen them think they are the original covers or leather.
Only thing I dont like about them is when it gets really hot in the summer, they really make my back sweat unless I am moving.

Thanks for the reply.......I was also looking at the neoprene ones that eklers has.....they are kinda pricey but......its for my Vette Big smile    I think maybe I'll go with those because they have the C-4 emblem on them

You might want to check around first, Ecklers are pretty high priced on some of their items, and some of the ones, (not sure if it was Ecklers or not), but I have heard that they dont stand up very well as far as wear and tear.

I wanted to get some with the Collector Edition imprinted on them as well, but for now, I am just sticking with these as I would like to get all new seats eventually, hopefully with covers in good condition and insignia intact.

Just a thought!

Thanks Laura, Do your covers slide around though, or do they fit snug? And also, did you have to remove the seats to install them?

They fit very snug. When I first installed them, this is what they looked like, and I was thinking....oh, no.

But this is what they look like after a few weeks time.

The first seat, we did remove, but found out we didnt have to. Embarrassed
The second one was a heck of a lot easier to install after I figured that out! LOL

Laura,
I am looking at a 1992.  Can you give me an owners perspective on this particular style?  Is the 96 body much different than the 92?

Dan,

I am not that familiar with that year, but I googled it and this is what I came up with.

The body style doesnt look that much different then the '96, but I am not sure which year they changed the opti, the earlier C4's had a lot of problems with them.

If I remember correctly, they put the newer optis in the 94's, but earlier then that I am not sure.
Are you looking to buy a C4? I have mine for sale. Big smile
