my '85 coupe has a slightly sagging rear fascia, between the exhaust pipes. gm issued a tsb #87-176 that suggested a repair fix for the problem. they even provided the reinforcement and parts through dealers. i'm looking for some help concerning this problem, and locating those parts.

I too have looked for that part to no avail. Mine's not that bad yet. But I want to fix it now. There's a similar fix for the 5th gen., it will not work just to let you know.

hi,noah......this is ritchie. like you, my sag is not that bad either. i'm hoping to get it taken care of this spring. i did come up with a gm part # 10132965 thru a local chevy dealer. you might try one near you. there's not much info available since it's an old fix!! i was hoping to find someone out there, that actually made the repair and could offer some advice.

The "fix" is basically just a reinforcement piece that fits along the bottom, inside of the cover. If I remember correctly, it is riveted on.
A section of flat steel, or preferably aluminuminum strap, would serve the same purpose.
