I have a 90 coupe with a soild removable top. My question is is there supposed to be a thin rubber seal on the bottom of the top that sits on the weather striping ??

no. the top sits on top of the a & b pillar gaskets and that seals it.

Thanks,,,,Now I have to figure out why I'm I'm getting water coming in through the top. The stripping is almost new, is there something I can put on the rubber to make it seal better without ruining the rubber ??

you can adjust the bolts to make it tighter. there is a cover over it and should be able to remove easily and ther are 2 bolts that adjust the bolt holder up or down. or the other possibility is that the gasket may not be of good quality (happened on my car and wound up replacing the gaskets again). let us know how you make out.

Those bolts tou are talking about, are they covered by a plastic piece the size of a quarter at the back of the roof, right in the rear corners ??

i believe they cover where the bolt that locks the top in (one on each side). the adjustment is either made from the inside frame or the outside frame with window removed. or the adjustment might be on the bracket that attaches on the car itself. will check tomorrow on mine.

checked my top. there are plastic covers on the inside of back frame. if you pull it away you will see a screw on each side of bolt holder. there should be some adjustment (up and down). they can go sideways too but you should mark the placement before you start so you have reference marks.there are also bolts under the rear halos which you would have to remove to get to them. dont know if there is any type of adjustment on them.
