The black hatch button covers were fading and it annoyed me. Initially I thought I'd strip them and refinish but most of the bolt is plastic. So I sanded them and tried black paint for plastic finishes. Worked but not permanent. This year I broke down and ordered a set of black covers from Mid America. They are in fact copper so I stripped the black off but I found they are a lot taller than the OEM buttons so I spent some time on a bench sander cutting them down so they just fit over the OEM's. Also there are two sizes, you can see the small sits inside the larger. powder coated them red (there's a "Hot Coat" red, real close to OEM Torch RED). A little epoxy and they are on. Should have used epoxy putty though since it was a little cool and I had to clean a little ooze before it set up.
