This might be a crazy question but has anyone replaced the acrylic top material with a fiberglass panel? I live in Phoenix and the clear top doesn't work so well here. I would like to trade for a plain fiberglass top but they are hard to find. Then I got to thinking if there was a company that made a replacement panel to replace in the frame...years ago I read something about a guy doing that but I have not found any thing available yet...

I've got both tops with my 90. Structurally they seem a little different so not sure if it can be replaced with a fiberglass panel.
Since I have both tops I use the acrylic top in the winter time. I live in a very hot area in California and the acrylic top works best in winter. LOL.
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

My problem is solved, I found a nice fiberglass top cheap, could store away my tinted clear top...but it was from a 1988...no problem, I changed the front support mounts to match the top and bingo..it installs nice and solid. It was an easy swap and I went through the whole adjustment process to properly align the top brackets to the top mounts...I didn't know that there was a procedure but do now

Hi,
You may want to think about putting an inside headliner panel in it. May be less work and a lot less expensive!
Unless you've already taken care of the issue.
