Hi All,
I have a 1996 CE coupe w LT4. Love the lines and car drives and looks good!
I feel the small little trim strip or lower finish edge under the rocker panel looks out of place on the sleek lines of the car and have thought about painting it a simi-flat black to give it a more finished look. Not looking at painting the panel, just the small 1" strip that sticks down.
I have done similar with a number of other older sports cars and it give a more smooth and finished look.
Anyone's thoughts for or against? I do show the car, but just at just show-and-go events and not at concourse level judging.
Thanks for your comments,
Gary

I went the opposite way on my 96, adding chrome edging along the bottom. It comes with glue in the bottom of the channel so you just press it on except for the angled section where you need to widen the gap with a screw driver. Originally I added it to strengthen the bottom edge but now I prefer the look. You can get it at most autopart or paint stores. Painting may make it disappear, hope it's works for you.

The chrome really looks good! Might have to consider that approach too because that does make it look finished. Good idea, thanks for the input!
