My oil level sensor on a '94 LT1 is leaking around the plastic sensor, not the gasket. Is there a remedy and, if not are they still available??

If it's actually leaking between the plastic connector area and the threaded part, it needs to be replaced. You could try to clean it real well, and put some silicon or something around the edge, but it prolly won't solve the problem for long.
The sensor should still be available, either from GM, or aftermarket.

Joel, thanks for the response. Yes , it is leaking between the plastic and the threaded portion.
Also thanks for the tip on how to access the forum topics for more than a 24 hr. period.

Thanks Toptech. This will come in handy for the kid behind the counter at the stealer.
