MSD Distributer

Just put new exhaust and injecters on my 85 L98. I want to go ahead and make the jump and replace the dist. Does MSD or any other company make a drop in hi-po distributer for my set up? and if they do maybe a part # and where I might purchase. Thanks.

no none that i could find.they all have a vacume advance.but if you want to go to an external coil,msd has a distributor that will work.ck summit and jeggs,you can even call msd.i suggest getting a new gm replacement and get an msd 6al ign box to boost your spark.

Thanks. Was at parts house today and they have the Msd 6AL in stock. they also had a msd dist, but it has the vaccum advance on it. So I will buy the dist box msd 6AL. should I maybe buy a dist. module. internal? Accel makes one? I've done alot to the air intake to get air in. and I''ve uppgraded the fuel system new pump, regulater and injecters. Just want to complete the treo if you know what I mean? this thing is already running like a raped ape just can't find a whole lot of info on the ignition system. So thanks for info.

Hey I found a settup on Summit racing to replace H.E,I. dist. in my vette. magnetic advance ,MSD. Msd 6AL-2 box and Msd Blaster 2 Coil. order the whole kit for right at 400.00 bucks should be here Thursday so I will get it in this weekend. Thanks for the help. I will post how it works at the beginning of next week.
