My car will start. However, every light inside and out flashes and there is an audible chiming alarm inside the car. Does anyone have an idea what is the problem???

Sounds like a problem in the anti-theft system. We need more info. All the lights, meaning what? Headlights, tail lights, dash lights?

Yes, all interior and dash lights. Chiming like the keys are in the ignition and the door is open. Exterior lights (front & Rear). I thought it might be the VATS but the fact it starts made me a bit unsure.

Have you replaced the battery recently? If “yes” then you may have to reset your keyless entry or VATS. Instructions are in the operators manual.
Locate and wire brush all electrical grounds. This car is very very sensitive to electrical current anomalies. Any aftermarket stereos, lighting etc., can have all sorts of consequences if not installed correctly.
