does anyone know where I can find the halo style led tail lights for a 1986 C4? The car  is in the shop being painted Big smile and I figure now would be the time to replace them. If not the halo style.....howabout some reasonably priced regular led's.....and a 3rd brake light led   Thanks

make sure you change the flasher as they suggest. have heard that if you don't it could burn up the wiring. as for the third brake light, i made my own.

in autozone they have a section of led lights. got the one that had 2 strips with 5 lights on each strip. took a strip of aluminum about an inch wide and about 2" longer than the inside piece that holds the bulbs. attached the leds to the strip and then installed the strip in the housing bending the aluminum strip around the bulb housing. snipped the wire from the car and wired the leds to it and it works perfect. the only thing is you have to wire it positive to positive and negative to negative.

Dogfish.....Thanks man. Big smile I just ordered them today. They look awesome on the website. Cool Last week I ordered a pair of regular led lights and was going to return them to get the halo lights. Well i haven't recieved them yet so I called the vendor and they told me that the order has not been processed yet. I was able to cancel the order before it was shipped. Saved the shipping and return fee Thumbs Up     Thanks again Bro

Eddiie20890,  do you know where the flasher is located? Are there 2 flashers? One for the turn signals and one for the hazards? And what kind of flasher am I changing to? I am going to Autozone in the morning to get those 3rd brake light led's. I know exactly the ones you are talking about because I have some green ones on my Harley for ground effects. Did you check out the halo lights? They are going to look so awesome I can't wait to get them. My car is bright silver and I will definately post some pics when I get it back together......Thanks for the help......Bill

dont know where the flasher is mounted exactly but on my 90 you have to take off the lower panel on passenger side and the relays are mounted on the frame. of course you have to remember this is a vette so it aint easy.Rolling On The Floor Laughing. i had to look in the service manual and count over from one side to replace my fuel pump relay. that being said the flasher is probably going to be just as much a pain to find too.

there should be only one flasher for both. i think you have to wire in a relay. i have seen some advertisements for the leds and in the small print they tell you that you need this part. the lights you are getting calls it an electronic flasher. the manager of the autozone by me said he switched a car of his to the leds and didn't know about the relay/flasher and he wound up burning the wires up. best to just add it to be safe. they certainly will look great. my 90 getting fixed from the accident put a little bit of a crunch in my pocket and took a lot of my time with the repaint and all so i dont want to get the wife anymore upset and spend the bucks right now.

cant wait to see the pics. will be posting more pics soon of the 90. good luck
