Hey fellow vetter I have a93' automatic start console removal by removeing 5 Philps screws 2 are straight ahead , one is under ash tray and final 2 are hidden under felt in forward left and right corners of cd rack . Use a small straight flat screw driver to " wedge" out Shifter button and there is a small snap ring around shifter to keep leather boot in place . So 5 screws, 1 snap ring , and console piece should strait up. I also took the junk box lid off to get it out of my way. The shift light bulb is a turn and lock set-up when putting back together be careful to set plastic shift indicator ove the horizontal rod that is attached to shifter Hope all this wasn't to confusing good luck
