Hey Gang
I'm fighting an issue where a reman motor is giving me problems.  The car is a '86 coupe that got the right headlamp pod/motor destroyed in a deer strike.

After replacing the headlamp pod and reman motor, the left ass'y continues to work normally.  HOWEVER, the right ass'y sticks at the end of it's travel.  If I turn on the headlamps, the right door won't move until I turn the motor wheel approx. 2 turns to relieve the pressure and the door will then open normally.  The same thing happens when I turn off the light as the motor wheel has to be turned approx. 2 turns to relieve the pressure and the door will close normally.

The door stops have been adjusted and the condition still occurs.  I can't find any other limit switch adjustments in the FSM.  I'm thinking I've gotten a bad motor from my parts supplier.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Jonathan.....

Sounds like a stripped gear.

Sounds more like a limit switch not doing the correct function.
