I successfully replaced the brake light switch. Now there is power to the third brake light. However, the ground wire is not grounded. The light only works when I ground it elsewhere. I am wondering how important it is to track down this particular ground wire, or if I can ground it elsewhere? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Temp. ground elsewhere if you need/want to drive the vehicle now.Inspect and repair original ground when ready.
