Vette(s): 2007 LeMans blue convertible
I had trouble reading my GPS when it was mounted on a sandbag mount on the dash, so I bolted part of the mount to one of the screws holding the AC vent in place. Then I got annoyed with the cord hanging down the middle of the dash, so I removed the console cover and routed it underneath and connected it to the accessory ignition controlled wires under the console cover.

I like the idea of this but is it possible to post a picture of the installation and maybe a diagram showing which wires to spliced into? It would help a lot. Thanks

Your wish is my command. Here are the two pages from my '95 owners manual where I learned about the accessory plug wires in the Vette. I don't know if all years of C4 have these, but the 1995 model does. If you would like more pictures of the steps I went through with my GPS mounting and wiring, let me know and I will post more of the actual process.
