there was a post about the airbag sensor on here a couple weeks ago. what happens is the inflate system light comes on and the seat belt light comes on and stays on. gm's answer was to remove the sensors and clean both the bottom of sensor and frame and coat it with dielectric grease and reinstall.

when the car was being repaired from the accident, thinking that there was only one sensor as the 90 only had one airbag i cleaned it and put it back. light was off for a bit and came back on. then i found out there were two sensors. finally went and did the other one. what a PITA. wasn't too bad getting it out but getting the one bolt back in was very aggravating. couldn't see with my hand in the way but after a lot of choice words and dropping the bolt finally got it back in.

previous owner said he had gm replace the sensor (gave me the receipt). must have had a new mechanic as it had an arrow on showing which way the front of the car would be and guess what...yep it was in backwards. will have to hook up my scanner tomorrow and will try to reset it to shut off lights. now this has me wondering if the other side is in backwards. dont remember seeint the markings on it when i did it. will have see if i can see it.
