ENG/MET Button Acting incorrectly

My Eng/Met button in my 1995 base coupe on the trip monitor, rather than switching the computer to metric or English, is acting as a randomizer button and switching between random gauges or fuel information when I press it, I need to fix it as I just changed my oil and my change oil light came on, has anyone had this issue and what was the fix?

You might try disconnecting the negative battery cable for at least 10 minutes;  although I wouldn't recommend doing this with any frequency, it is amazing how a simple reset can sometimes chase away electronic gremlins on these cars.
