My stereo has the CD and Cassette player and from what I've read in the owners manual and on forums there "could" be a chance of needing a security code if/when I disconnect the battery for any reason in order for the stereo to again function.

This worries me as I do not have a security code.

I do realize I can power the systems for a few minutes with a 9v battery in the cigarette lighter socket.  Is this the only workaround?
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

There is no security code needed for a '94.  I've had the battery disconnected for weeks at a time.
