i was watching a film on you tube from central corvette. about changing the battery out on the c4. some thing that caught my eye. in this film the moderator said that most people take the cruse control off. by removing the outer housing. this the peace thats on the very end thats held with three screws. when the person does this there is a pin that falls out. no mater what you do the cruse will not work.after its put back on. this pin falls in to the battery tray, that is if it doesn't fall somewhere else. also on the 84 only there isn't a slot in the side panel to remove the 10 mm. bolt. 85 and up has one. i thought i would share this. so if you took off your end peace of the cruse control to replace the battery, and the cruse doesn't work. now you know why.
