I have a 1987 conv and I am buying an aux hardtop (from a 92). I was told it would not fit. What must I change to make it fit.

Not sure on the hardtop, but I think on the regular targ tops, the pin/receivers can be moved to accommodate the later tops....

on the early targa tops they had guide pins along with the piece the screw went in. to use an earlier top on a later model you need to remove the guide pins and have the screw brackets from the later top and remount them in the right location. will be doing that soon as i have a white top for my car that came from a 85.
only thing i can see would be the lockdowns are different.

he did say he had a convertible. as joel said he wasn't sure about the hardtops and as i don't either, we were just pointing out the differences on a targa top and maybe it was something simular on a hardtop.
