Twice this season the blinkers in my '92 quit working.  Determined it was a blown fuse in both instances.  Any one else ever have this problem or have ideas what might be causing the problem?

Haven't heard of that being a common issue with any of the year models....gotta be a short somewhere. I'd start by looking closely at all of the connectors for the turn sig bulbs. The wiring insulation is known for disintegrating over time, and allowing bare wires to touch....

Thank you for the idea.  Another problem that developed over the summer is that all adjustments for my temperature control stop working.  i.e. I'll turn on the AC and for no apparent reason I won't be able to adjust the fan or temperature up or down.  This problem has always been solved by turning the car off and starting it back up again.  Could this be a short?  If so, is there likely to be a correlation?

as joel said sometimes the sockets go bad from old age. could just be an intermitent short at this point. as for the a/c it could be a glitch when you start the car or there is a hvac control box somewhere in the the dash. if it does it occassionally at this point i'd let it go unles it bothers you a lot.

Yes, with both issues, if they don't become any more frequent, I'm not going to lose sleep over them but I'm sure I'll have to deal with both issues eventually.  The blown fuses is the biggest concern, but I have a bunch of spares in the glove box for the time being.

Thanks for the feedback and great cars everyone!  I had to sell my '77 to pay for the '92, and I loved them both.
