Hi
Where is everybody..............Spring is around the corner. Take out your CEs.
OK....I will go first. After waiting a long time to get my car into Vetteworks. (www.vetteworks.com) I finally had all my weatherstripping installed. I was only going to do the rear hatch, but Sergio urged me to go all the way. The new rubber looks great. The rear hatch with the new rubber looks like it just came off the line. The hatch was adjusted and now when I open it, it goes all the way up on its own. The noise inside the passanger compartment is decrease at least 75%, and there is no noise coming off the rear glass.
Im still looking for a knock-off wheels for the car.
Take them OUT

Ray,
I was cruisin' through the C3 Auctions for Wheels/Tires looking for something else when this item caught my eye: 1968-82 Corvette Wheel Spinner Kit - NEW. Check it out quick as the auction ends on the 21st (btw - so far no bids).

Ray, I'm here. A little busy with the 2 kids, but like you said, spring is right around the corner. Just doing a few "tinkering" projects to her before I take her out and spend $1.90 on super gas

Howdy boys...........
Dukman, I know what you mean, with kids and the gas....
Norsky....thanks for the heads up on the spinners. I tried them, with a cone to cover the lugs nuts but the kit did not work on the CE wheels. Once I put the cone on, I was not able to cath the treats to screw on the spinners. Im still looking.
Anyone attending the NRCS nationals at Hershey ???

I'm here, just been VERY busy, must be Spring! Say, how much did it cost to do all the w/stripping? I could use new myself and she's in the body shop right now. Don't know if they've got the time to do it now, but it would sure be nice. How are you guys?
Don't even mention gas prices to someone who lives in So. Cal. LOL A freakin joke!

HI Vixen
I made a trade with my vette restoration mechanic. I did his website (www.vetteworks.com) and the weatherstripping was my payment. He gets his rubber kits from CorvetteRubber. Great quality. It took them about 4 to 5 day to do the job, he also adjusted my rear hatch. Now when I open it, it goes all the way up on its own. If you can get it done, do it. Its nice a quiet inside now.
Adam......Thansk for the head up on CE owner.

Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition
Almost all original
Borla's and hollow cat.
I'm still here, I only get to lurk every now and then. I spend WAY to much time on the CF.
And I never did get around to entering my vin, oh well, I will get my account updated soon.
I don't see you guys posting on the CF anymore, did something happen that I missed???
Also in case you missed it, I ran my CE at the Firebird drag strip. My best run was 15.131 @ 88.65mph for teh 1/4. All stock except for a set of Borla's and a hollow cat. plus 109,000 miles.
