Back in the '70s, the Corvette designers were busy.

Take a look at some of these designs.

What would you give to have one of them?

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
I actually remember those when they were introduced.  Seemed strange even then.  They were interesting, but I'm glad it went the way it did.

Looks like if it rolled over you could use it as a see-saw. Shocked

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
I remember showing a picture of that XP-882 to my step son and asking him if he had any idea as to who designed it.

He pegged it - John Z. Delorean (of course, he didn't know his first name or middle initial).

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Do you guys remember when GM was going to use the Wankel rotary engine in the Corvette?
Our company was going to supply some of the machines to manufacture the engines.
They gave up on the emmissions problems.

They were ahead of their time. I'm curious to see what the Italian concept Corvette (1963) goes for at Barrett-Jackson.
