rear hatch struts

My rear glass seems a little weak. It stays up, but the owners manual says it should pop-up to 1/4 open by itself (it doesn't). Ecklers shows $189 a pair and corvette central shows $59 each. Anyone bought these or others?

I've got mine from Ekler's and my rear hatch opens up all the way. If yours don't, you should try to adjust your rear glass from the inside bolts. Then if that doesn't work buy a pair.

Hi,I found a pair of struts on E-Bay from a seller called
corvettepete for 99 dollars.They are not originals but he has had them custom made so they don't have quite all the force of the originals and they don't stress the hinges when opening.Mine work very smoothly now.I know some owners have had to enlongate the holes on the hinges to realign the hatch and adjust the latches.Corvettepete can fill you in if you ask.He periodically runs the struts for sale but not continuously.Hope I was of some help.
