Sorry no pics on me at the moment, but I just wanted to say that I got to see that car in person and it was awesome. The exhaust tore the grass right from the ground and then blew the dirt away until there was a little impacted pit in the ground. It was so cool. It was part of a Corvette heritage display that came to my school during a few days of an engineering convention. I do have a pic of it, if I have some free time I'll try and scan it in.

The above picture is not a manta ray, but a mako shark...
Here's a picture of the manta ray when it was at the corvette museum...

I was talking about the GM Manta ray, that David posted, it's the GM mako shark2 with a restyled tail and the nose has a chin spoiler and changed exhaust.
My interest iin it is the headlights under clear covers where on the mako they opened like eye lids I thought.
I also received a Pic of the Motion Manta ray , that has datsun z type hadlight treatment and doen't look like GM's Manta, but is a super looking custom.
Many thanks to all.

There was a Motion Performance corvette modification that gave it the Datsun Z headlights.
Here's another couple of pictures of the manta ray (one showing the headlights). Scroll down to the bottom, and look to the right...

Motion Phase III

The November and December issues of Vette magazine have a couple of good articles about Joel Rosen, and his Motion Corvettes. Some nice pics of the Phase III, Phase III GT, Manta Ray, Maco Shark, and Spyder.
