driver??

I am a proud owner of a 78 pace car and my dad and i were workin on the headlights, and all the sudden he asked me "who drove the actual pace car in that race", and i thought for a minute, and said ya know what? , i dont know. does anyone know who drove that car??

Jim Rathmann, winner of the 1960 race, drove the pace car in 1978. It was his fifth time driving the pace car.
This is according to indypacecars.com. Also noted that it was the first time the pace car used a completely stock drive train........
