Collector Ed. Graphics

The way I see it, this C3VR site is a way to share and I ran across an auction on eBay this AM that I thought some of you with Coll. Ed.'s might find useful. As much as I love '82's, I have always had a personal dislike for the way the graphics on the Coll. Ed.'s looked, in terms of being a "decal".

So here's what I found: Ebay Item #1822744603 "1982 Hood Decal Graphics Mask" under the User ID of "hotrod1940" in the Largo Florida area. There's only 2+ days left on the auction but if you bookmark it, you can always contact the seller again via email.

The way this looks on a Coll. Ed. is OUTSTANDING!! This mask allows you to duplicate the original graphics EXACTLY on the hood and sides. There is even a pinstripe system available at additional cost. This system appears to allow you to to do the grahics the way it should have been done(in my opinion) in the first place, using the latest basecoat, clearcoat paint systems. It LOOKS so cool. NO decal "edges" etc. The guy states in the auction that these "systems" are available for $1500...his are at $395 plus extra for the pinstriping...but those are available as well.

And for those interested this guy states that he even does Custom Design stuff as he specializes in neat graphics.

Look, I have no idea who these folks are, and I'm not here to promote their product..I just thought it looked REALLY COOL! and if I had a Coll. Ed.,(NCRS or not), this is the way I'd do it. So I thought I'd "share". Hope this helps someone!

That kit looks great if its the actual kit on that hood, even the side kits looks good. If I had to get a set of decals I would try this kit instead of spending 1500.00 for a set.

I'll have to let you all know what the one's from Eckler's are like. They should be on their way by now. I'll be checking on my car Friday.

I'm going down tomorrow to look at the stripe kit from Eckler's for my baby. Is there anything in particular that I need to look for other than color and gradient?
