The March, 2006 issue of Corvette Fever has an article on the second, documented 1969 ZL1!! It has a pic of the orig. tank sticker, and other documentation to prove, for good(?), the existance of this elusive 'Vette.
What's cool, tho, is I have SEEN/TOUCHED this Vette, more than once!! Never knew it was "THE" missing ZL1!!

I'z checked the CFev. web-site......nothing there on the ZL1, yet. Adams' Apple38732.3791898148

I got this issue yesterday also. I have not read the article yet but that would be an awesome ride. Love the paint job on it.

I quiver a the thought of that machine pulling up next to me at a red light

The artice was awesome!! The sticker on the console demanding rocket fuel is also equally intimidating

speaking about rocket fuel... : i read about racing fuel to mix 10 %toluene to boost octane instead of all commercial ( expensive) octane boosters?????

The car Mark's link goes to was feature in VETTE magazine's November 2003 magazine. It is a totally awesome car. I doubt that the picture's can do the car justice.
The newest find isn't really a find it hasn't been in hiding but was simply tucked away for another race day. I thought one of the coolest things was the special ordered automatic tranny. Not to mention the plan in bringing it back out was to show & race some more.
