Id like to consider myself good in preventative maintenance.... when I got the Vette in the spring, I changed the oil 3 or 4 times, each with less than 30 miles on it to flush it out... because the first drain, the oil was very dirty looking..... so i did the rislone/ oil routine and cleaned it up..

months later as i get ready for winter storage and upgrades... i decided tonight to drain and flush the rad.....

funny how each time I checked the coolant by pulling the rad cap off, the coolant was a nice shade of green....

all the rust settles to the bottom ( just never thought of it that way) and I never thought it would be that much! took me 12 minutes of idling and flushing before the water came out clear!

I feel much better knowing its got fresh antifreeze in it... just wish I had done it sooner....

moral of the story, dont overlook the antifreeze.....drain, flush and refill!!!
