Vette(s): 74 coupe 4 speed 350, 54K actual miles, all original; paint, interior, engine, split bumper. #'s match. 2nd owner, no stress cracks.

Does anybody make stainless steel headers for my 74?

With the different finishes available on headers, what's the best to go with?  What would be the difference with chrome or stainless steel?  Will they both turn "blue"??  thanks.....steve

Hooker makes stainless steel headers. Other finishes are black, ceramic coated, and of course, chrome. You can also get your headers jet coated. It a lot, depends on how much money that you want to spend. Some have definite advantages, such as the ceramic, or jet coated. These coatings cut down on some of the heat. There are a lot of choices for you....good luck! corvette440hp2007-04-29 19:01:27

Vette(s): 1965-327 coupe, 1968-small block coupe, 1969-427, 1971-454 coupe and currently a 1976-ZZ4 coupe reborn again,and hotter than ever.. Add a 1996 CE LT-4 for backup
I put a set of Sanderson Block Hugger headers on my 1976/ ZZ4 with SS side exhaust. Stainless steel with the ceramic coating did not turn blue like chrome does. I run the car to Tennessee and back to Washington last year and they still look new. Sanderson's are out of San Francisco ?? Check their web site..Terry

Big thumbs up to Sanderson headers. You'd be hard pressed to find any on the market better. Their headers have the thickest flanges I've seen on any brand and won't leak or have the bolts back off.
