just purchased electric fans from mid america. it comes with the sensor to turn fans on and off. as i still want the temp guage in car to work, i was wondering if it was possible to install a tee with the gauge sensor on one side and fan sensor on other? any thoughts would help.

You can install the sensor in the heads, depending on how many sensors you already have. There should be a place for one in each head. If you already have a sensor in both heads, then you can get a thermostat housing that has a bung for the sensor, and put it there.
I can't imagine a "T" fitting that would fit, and function around the exhaust, and plug wire shielding, but I think I remember someone doing that, and posting a pic of it here. I'll dig around, and see can I find it...

thanks joel. only have one temp sensor on drivers side and is right out in open as car has headers on it and the shields are not there. will check for alternate site to implant it.

You might have a place on top of the intake...usually near the thermostat, especially if it is an aftermarket intake.

thanks jim. it is a edelbrock preformer intake and didn't really check on that but found one on the opposite head. just found another aggravating thing. rube goldberg wouldn't have done such shoddy work as this. people i bought it from had a new radiator put in in june (bought in aug) and when i was working under car noticed some antifreeze. radiator was dry so figured it was just loose clamp. drained radiator and when i took off lower hose, theCensoredCensored idiots cut the pipe on an angle so now there is no bump out to seal the hose. it's a good thing i love corvettes.

Actually, you can get them with at least two holes.  I bought a chrome one for the new engine that never would seal so I went back to the old one from the previous engine in the '80 and it has two.  Had to plug 'em both.

Eddie,

I just went through all of that.  Jegg's sells a 45 degree, swivel, polished aluminum water thermostat housing that will clear the sensor on the Edelbrock Performer intake that I also have.  It has an "O Ring" under it which I recommend you use the high temp sealant at the ring.  I did not at first then applied sealant and now it holds.  The part number is 555-5111 - $14.99.

good luck gurtz
