I am getting closer to engine start-up (<6 weeks) and I made a water shut off for the heater hoses along with a temporary loop for the heater core. I plan on replacing the heater core but first I want to get the engine running.

I purchased the parts from the hardware store after looking at NAPA parts and others.

6 weeks Dennis? It must seem like eternity. You have been focused on this project for so long. Light at the end of the tunnel (for the engine) is within sight. Congrats!

I would be wary of those gas valves and plastic fittings. The dark fittings look like sprinkler piping, I am not sure they will handle the heat over time.

6 weeks to get the engine running. The rest (body and interior) won't be ready untill late next year. Hey I'm not Superman.
