Thank you for the input!
Nowz all we need here in Dutchess Co., N.Y. is a bit of good weather 'soze I can git 'er done.
I'm going to use the polished aluminum water neck I just picked up. The bottom of it is not polished. I'll go ahead and use a paper gasket with a bit of wheel bearing grease.

Problem Solved.
The water neck that worked was a two piece polished aluminum swivel type made by Spectre Industries. The O-Ring gasket looked a bit thicker than what came with the other ones I had used (and thrown out!). No sealant used. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

Basically because I had exhausted the other options.
The beefier O-Ring on the Spectre housing looked like it was worth a try.
The guy behind the counter at the speed shop also said he had not recieved any complaints about this one, too.
Two days later and it's still holdin' it's own.
