Anyone have experience with the VIR eliminator kit for 73-76 A/C. I talked to local A/C man and he reccommended "Old Air Products". They have the kit for $125. Nice folks to talk to and said conversion is not difficult and old hoses will fit. Only drawback is you cannot replace dessicant after if needed. You have to replace the whole receiver again. Trying to find someone with the VIR Receiver dryer in stock is difficult and PF is only 20 days away. 2 cruzn 38870.5084027778

You don't need to use any of the VIR. You can get a reciever/dryer and install it in place of the VIR, along with the other kit. There are kits out there to do the entire job.
