With the console control switch in the off position when I start my car I get vacuum at my vet actuator and my vent opens. My question is. is this correct? I've tried to find a good vacuum schematics for the interior but have not found a good one yet. Is there someone out there who can help me with this.

Do you have A/C or no?
If your car is equipped with "Astro Ventilation", I believe the vents are opened all the time, except in "Max A/C"...not really 100% sure, but I think think that's correct.
The Factory service manuals cover all of the vacuum systems for the HVAC. If you don't have one, you can usually find them on e-bay for around $40 or so.

Since you have vacuum actuated vent, you must have A/C. Here is a link to a vacuum diagram.

I hope it helps

Larry thanks. I do have AC and " Astro Ventilation" I didn't know the was to be open all the time except with "Max-Air". Just seems to me a big source for added cabin heat. Vacuum diagrams on web sight are very good and will be a big help. thanks
John
