According to Edelbrock's web site (they have installation instructions on-line now), torque them to 25 ft/lbs. You can check it yourself to double-check me, just to be sure.

The thermostat bolts are 5/16 shank. Bolts to the head are 3/8 shank. The thermostat bolts would be closer to 15 ft lbs.

Ken is right...I misread what you wanted. The torque figure I gave from the Edelbrock web site was for the head bolts. Hope you got Ken's correction before you installed the housing.

Just tighten them till they break then back them off half a turn.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

hey Chips.. great tip..works perfect.. and that half turn back can even be done with just my fingers
gunslinger i haven't torqued the bolts yet . since i was still in doubt about the right torque i have emailed edelbrock last nite if they could tell me the right specs
anyway it is a good thing i asked on here about the torque..i would have expected it much higher than the 15 ft/lbs kstyer recommends.
