Hey Guys I'm trying to decide to put magnaflow mufflers on or another brand. I currently run straight 2/12" chambered exhaust w/o any mufflers . Any thoughts, the resonance in the interior is pretty loud! Thanks for any advice.

I have magnaflows on mine and am very happy. I've driven it for 2 hours straight and carried on a conversation with a passenger without any trouble. I run about 2350 rpm at 60 mph (when my tach worked). I really like the sound. And get a lot of compliments from others. :)

A few years ago I changed from 2 1/2 chambered to Magnaflows. I did'nt replace the chambered sections with straight pipes. I just cut the back of the system to accept the (Magnaflow) mufflers and installed them.
I really liked the sound over that of the chambered system!
I also liked to once again be able to talk to a passenger or listen to the radio instead of exclusively listening to the chambered exhaust.
(No offense intended to anyone who has a loud exhaust system. Just my preference).

I have 2 1/2 true dual Magnaflows on my '76 and love the sound.  I do sometimes pine for the cool idle of the chambered systems, but not sure I'd want the tradeoff of the noise at highway speeds.
