After installing the sensor, disconnect the battery for a few minutes to clear the memery. It will take driving around for a little while untill computer relearns. Then let the car get cold and then start and see if it idles OK. Should idle at 1-1.2K and come down to 650 (I think). Do not touch the gas peddle before starting and untill it's at idle.

I agree. The computer is almost certainly storing an error code. Plug up a scanner and retrieve the code.

Yes, the TPS is on the outside of the rear (driver side) throttle body. Its a black rectangular piece about 2 inches long with three wires going to it.
