I have to change the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb.Beside corrosion reasons is a stainsteel line a good idea,I heard the they tend to leak.

There's no reason why Stainless steel would leak any more than steel.
Go with the stainless, will last forever.

The stainless fuel lines(or any stainless lines) are harder then carbon steel, so, yes, they can sometimes be a little persnickety to get seated. When you tighten down a "normal" steel line, it deforms somewhat, and it basically conforms to the shape of the fitting it is seating into. A stainless line, being a harder material, might need to be torqued a little tighter to get it seated....that's all.
I have a stainless line on my '74 from the pump to the carb, and I haven't had any issues with it. I didn't order a stainless line, nor did I want one....but that's what I got...

Usually any part I can get I'd rather have stainless just for the corrosion issue.

I would go with stainless for it's corrosion resistance.
There is no substitute for low end torque!
