My carb is in dire need of rebuild. Online, I found this place with experience in central OH.

Anyone ever use them? Or do you know someone that can rebuild my existing carb?

You can send yours to Holley Custom as they rebuild Q-jets and can refinish them like new as well. They have an excellent reputation, but I don't know their pricing.

Or give me a few more days and look at Ben's website. I am going to post my Q-Jet rebuild info. Just be advised, it's not done yet. Armed with the info, photos, and a rebuild kit you may be able to do it yourself.

is yours the original q-jet for you car ??
if if doubt.. goto http://www.carburetion.com/carbinf.htm
and verify the application
the one that is currently on my 80 chevy truck is from a 77 cadillac with california emissions...
it is worth a look unless youre the first owner.. get a carb kit to match the application

There are many good carb kits out there. And some not so great. The ones at AutoZone are fine, and I use them. My favorites come from NAPA.

It is original factory carb. I have rebuilt two barrels before so I'll look forward to Ken's rebuild posting. I also agree that since it will be off, I'll replace the intake gaskets and thermostat.
Can't wait!!

going down to get a kit this weekend. Looking forward to the article. If these Hurricanes will leave us alone long enough I'll get the rear calipers on.
