I actually have been through it myself already.  Someone posted about the quality of the rebuild kits these days.  I can vouch for that statement: one of the body gaskets had some slight variations from the one I took out and the needle and seat looked a little different, too.  I was surprised at how few parts were included in the kit as well.  I put it all back together and it runs OK, but something is still just not right about it.  Hard to put my finger on the exact problem and I've decided it's time to get some professional help.  It would be nice if I could find a local shop that would do a minor bench rebuild or even just check things out to make sure I did it right, and then maybe spend an hour or so tuning it on the running car.  I'll start talking to some of the local shops and see what they say.... 

Oh, and I did use the "Ken's Q-Jet" article when I was doing the rebuild as well as the Rochester Carb book I purchased a few years ago.  Both were great resources!
