The rear window defogger fan motor in my 70 coupe is making a "rattling" noise but seem to move air properly. I haven't torn ito it yet, but would like to repair/replace while the car is in for the winter. Internet searches have been fruitless. Does anyone know where to find a replacement motor, or optionally the best place to get mine rebuilt. Any other suggestions, hints or instructions would be welcome too.
TIA--Joe

Before condemning anything, I would get the motor out, and see if there is a dead mouse, or some other object lodged in the fan....even a candy wrapper could cause a noise. The fan could also just be loose on the motor shaft.

Thanks...not sure that will work for a C3, but then I haven't pulled it apart to see what it looks like...

Might just need to balance the fan/squirrel cage. Most have some kind of balance weight on them on one(or more) of the fins, and some tend to fly off over the years.I've seen a couple of them rusted out, too...
