Hi all question about heat in the rear exhaust around the differ carrier. I'm putting everything back together and I installed VBP Camber Strut Rods with poly bushings and Smart Strut Bracket. I modified the rear stock heat shield because of the heavier duty strut bracket and to protect the fiberglass VBP spring (looks good). Now as I remount the rear Y pipe it comes really close to the strut bracket poly bushing on one side. (Sorry about long tread) So question is how much heat will the exhaust generate here? Will it effect the poly bushing? Also the pipes will clear but not as well as it  did  with stock bracket. Any Ideas about how to clear bracket better? As always thanks for your comments. Take care

If you are an inch or two away the heat will not likely be a problem with the poly bushings.   The exhaust can reach 2000 degrees, but by the time it reaches that point is should not be over 1000 inside the pipe, and a bit cooler outside.  This is at mid throttle or more, and mid load or more.
Less throttle and rpm will make it much cooler, perhaps only a few hundred degrees.   The temp outside the pipe is less than inside temp stated.    Air space past the pipe allows the temp to drop quickly.
