Vette(s): 1975 convertible, with the hard top and power streering.it a 350 L48 with auto trans. the color is light blue.
Took the car out yesterday and it over heated real quick. The inlet hose was hot and felt like it had a lot of pressure on it.The radiator cap was cold and had no pressure on it. Well I changed the thermostat and I tried it again ...well it over heated again, but the gauge didn't max out like  it did at first. So what should I look at next .I was thinking of changing the upper and lower hoses to see if that helped.

Replace the lower hose. It sounds like the internal spring is rusted away and the hose is collapsing under vacuum.
