I am rebuilding the A/C in my 76 Is there supose to be an orifice tube or does the VIR valve do that job??? I can't find in any of my service manual for a 76 that mention one I see they are used in 1977

VIR stands for Valves In Reciever. Every valve and control in in the VIR unit. It uses a Thermo expansion valve. There is no orifice tube.
