Hi Dave glad to hear your getting that stuff fixed before the snow flies.... Brrrr... How was getting up the next morning after rolling around on the ground? I always realize that my older body isn't as tuff as it used to be, and I'm pretty sure it isn't as tuff as it ever was... (contrary to Toby Keith's song...) Hang in there buddy and Get er' done..... sqm2004- Those are good tips and I appreciate them. I got the pipes from the headers and the old CAT off Sunday. Just waiting for DaveM's parts. In the mean time I have other things to fix.
Tux- yeah, I was a little stiff and sore the next day. I have the Vette up on the jacks as high as they go, but it doesn't give much room for me on the creeper. I'll be happy if I git er done before the temp drops too far.
eddie20875- no broken studs. I sprayed them with Liquid Wrench a couple of days earlier. The nuts came off fairly easy, once I got the deep socket on them. I bought a new flexible ratchet and that saved some time.

glad to hear that they came off with no problems. it was good thinking
to soak them up a couple days before. too bad though about having to
use the jacks to raise car. i'm lucky and have a scissor lift but as i
said the front y was still a pain. don't think i could have done it if
i had to use jacks.
hope the installation of the parts you are getting goes as easy.

Dave, you can come over to the shop and use the lift. Buffalo ain't that far away from you. You got my # if you need assistance.
I just got through installing the SLP long tube headers, mids, cats on Michele's GTO the other day. Still waiting for the SLP Loudmouth II cat back system to come in. Having use of a lift makes a world of difference.

Darryl,
I thought about you and the lift while I was laying there looking at all the grime under there, but I need to do a bunch of other things while I'm there. New speedometer cable, change tranny fluid and filter, flush radiator, change oil, work on my wheels again, bleed brakes, etc, etc.
Hope I get it all done by April 13.
